On 9 February 2015 was the first International ‪Epilepsy Day‬, which from now on will take place every second Monday of February. The day is a joint initiative of the ‪‎IBE‬ (International Bureau for Epilepsy) and the ‪‎ILAE‬ (International League Against Epilepsy) and will be celebrated in 138 countries around the world. The day is an important step to increase awareness about ‪‎epilepsy‬ and the need for more international epilepsy ‪research‬ as is being carried out in projects like EPITARGET!
