The EPITARGET Consortium organised a Workshop with the title "Anti-epileptogenesis and disease modification: Clinical Targets and Pre-Clinical Models" at the Academisch Medisch Centruum in Amsterdam on 24 September 2014.

Apart from speakers from within the Consortium, external speakers from University of Luxemburg and Erasmus MC were invited. Additionally, EPITARGET SAB member, Jerome Engel, Jr. from the University of California, Los Angeles, had a presentation on using biomarkers in epilepsy research.
